At Larkspur, change is part of growth — and we’re excited to share news about the next chapter of our leadership.
We are delighted to welcome Fergal Duff as Managing Partner at Larkspur. With more than two decades of international experience in architecture, real estate, and development management, Fergal has overseen the successful delivery of over $5.9 billion in capital projects across North America, the Middle East, and Europe. His global perspective and technical expertise strengthen our ability to guide ambitious projects from vision to reality.
This transition also marks a meaningful milestone for us as Courtney Shearer, one of our longtime Partners, retires from day-to-day operations. Courtney’s contributions have been instrumental in shaping Larkspur’s growth and impact, and we are grateful he will continue to serve as a Financial Consultant, offering guidance and oversight.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fergal as a partner at Larkspur,” said Lori Van Rooijen, Founding Director. “With Fergal’s global expertise joining our legacy of community-focused leadership, we now bring more than 60 years of combined experience to the table. Together, we have delivered billions in projects, and this next chapter positions us to continue turning ambitious visions into purposeful spaces that inspire, connect, and endure.”
For Fergal, joining Larkspur is about more than projects — it’s about purpose.
“I am honoured to join Larkspur at this exciting time,” he shared. “What drew me to the firm is its reputation for collaboration and its impact on projects that truly matter — from housing and education to cultural and Indigenous community spaces. I look forward to working with Lori, the team, and our clients to deliver projects that leave a lasting legacy. Together, we build community.”
This transition reflects what has always defined Larkspur: collaboration, continuity, and community impact. With Fergal stepping in and Courtney continuing to provide his wisdom and leadership, we’re poised to deepen our work with partners across housing, healthcare, education, and culture — building purposeful spaces that endure for generations.
